At the moment we have a default of 5 traces, it can be changed to an individual number per automation.
What i think would be much more useful is the ability to keep traces for a period of time, like a day, a week or 48h.
Why would that be useful?
I do have an (complex) automation switches e.g. lights based on presence and fire multiple time per day. When coming back home from work my wife asks me why the automation did not work.
Having a fixed number (e.g. 15) of traces can be a problem as the problem may have occurred to many traces ago. (That problem occurred in the morning and since then the automation has fired more than 15 times and therefore the specific trace is lost)
I could, of course, select a very high number of traces, but thats maybe not the way we should do it.
