WTH can you not put cards on your home screen as widgets

Name says it all, I do have some ideas of why this would be hard but it would be so cool.

Well Google got rid WebView widgets sometime ago so at this point it all needs to be built from the ground up. What may work is if each card can be an image entity and the app can pull that and display it using the existing picture widget.

Not possible to display webviews in iOS as well, for each card we need to replicate the UI in a native widget.

Maybe this should be simplified to implement the tile card as a widget, that would solve a lot of use cases, and be far more achievable.

On iOS we already have on backlog a ā€œwidget builderā€ where you will be able to add tile cards and entities + more app actions
