WTH can't I change what day energy data in input into the energy dashboard

I live in the UK and my energy supplier’s (Octopus Energy) API gives usage data 24 hours late. So if, for example, I receive data from the API for today it would actually be reporting yesterday’s usage.
It would be great if we could offset this data.
When I set the data from the API it gives me half-hourly usage once a day so being able to input that data into the energy dashboard rath than just the latest read would be amazing.
It would also be nice if there was an integration for Ocopus that I didn’t have to install via HACS but that is just a minor gripe

Add historic data to Energy dashboard

Green Button Project, but also other local or national providers with same offerings of data. The issue with these data is that they are not live, but delayed with typical 24 hours. Homeassistant wasn’t my first love (but will probably be my last). In previous life I have been recording my energy consumption in Emoncms. I was hoping that some bright light by now would have managed to create a script allowing to import historical data into Homeassistant, but either I am the only person looking for this or it is too hard to do. Would be awesome if this gets added to Homeassistant!
