I dont subscribe either but I am in fact enduring problems right now with my own set up google assistant integration and I have set up local fulfilment…I can only guess right now that the 2 are coincidental? BC the message is for Nabu and not me? Nothing is responding to me right now though
NVM I guess my zigbee stick became unavailable in its virtual machine…which it hasn’t done before…yuck
During this time there will be short periods of disruption for webhooks, and non-local commands from virtual assistants (Alexa/Google). The remote UI is not affected by this.
I guess my question would be what else do you need to know? There’s no release notes for this, its a backend change to a cloud service. There’s also nothing for you to do, cloud services auto-update their backend all the time.
You should expect disruptions to webhooks and alexa/google stuff during this window if you use Nabu Casa cloud. Remote UI is still fine and obviously things unrelated to cloud or users not using cloud are completely unaffected.
Course I’m just rephrasing what’s in the note. So hence my question, what piece of info are you missing?
EDIT: FYI, there is a link, this repair comes from here. That’s how this particular type of repair works, any time a new alert is posted to https://alerts.home-assistant.io for an integration you use then you see a repair with the details of that alert. But as you can see, there’s no more information at that link. You have all the info already.
As I’m new - few weeks - to Home Assistant and running only a small setup and working strict at the foundations of my ZHA install in SynologY VMM, I therefor take every new “Warning” within my Settings > System > * very serious, as so did I with this one.
As already mentioned by others I have no NC Cloud / Remote setup, so this warning in repairs was like a red flag for me. Did a search on the (sub)forums, but found not one clean hit.
The questions that popped my mind:
Remote install?
NC elements?
Am the first one to get this message?
Why no wiki page with explanation of impact to the different installs?
etc…
Although it will - after all - not inflict my system, I would love to see these messages, but linked to a wiki page. Even a few words will ease the mind of the (new) user and therefore i.m.h.o. will add great value to the overall User Experience. At least it would for me.
