I have no devices that will ever be on the energy dashboard. I have no plans to buy any such devices. I don’t intend to use the energy dashboard ever. Yet there is no way I can find to remove it.
Yes there is.
Remove default_config:
from your configuration then add back all the integrations you do want to use.
You can ask for an exclude option for default_config
if you wish, but it is likely to be a waste of time as the devs have previously made it very clear you have two options:
- Managed for you - default_config
- Managed by you - individual integrations.
That’s good information, and I wasn’t aware it could be excluded that way, but it just seems so easy to add some checkboxes of things you want to show on the left-nav or not. I really don’t want to turn off default_config
because, like you said, then I have to manage everything myself. Instead, I’m just left with a button that’s useless to me.
You can hide it in the left menu.
Long press/click the left menu title. When the menu items start jiggling click the X next to energy.
Then click Done at the top of the menu.
I had no clue you could long press that! Thanks!
