I have been playing around with a section based tab in my Experimental dashboard. So now that sections are out of beta and I am actually pretty happy with it I would like to move the whole tab to my Monitoring dashboard.
That does not seem to be possible (easily). I did find that I can open the raw editor, figure out what part of the yaml applies to the current tab and then copy-paste that, but it is quite tricky and easy to mess up.
Would be nice if there was an option to just move the whole tab.
Just so you know, you can access just the YAML of a specific “view” by editing it, hitting the three dots, and selecting Edit in YAML. Then you can copy and paste the whole thing.
Thanks for the pointer to “Edit in Yaml”, it helps a lot.
It is interesting that the yaml there also contains the contents of the view. I would kind of expected only to contain the configuration because that is the only stuff shown in the visual editor.
