Right now it’s very hard (if not impossible for inexperienced users) to figure out which entity is being provided by which integration.
the entity itself doesn’t provide this information in any of it’s easily accessible attributes. At least not without going to dev tools and jumpig thru template hoops to find the info.
and even if you go to the integration to show the device when you click on the device from within the integration window it takes you to the device page that shows all entities associated with that device from all integrations and not just the one you clicked thru on.
here’s an example with screen shots:
first we’ll navigate to the device page and look at my Sonos Move:
as you can see the device is associated with four integrations - Sonos Cloud, Battery Notes, Unifi and the built-in Sonos integration.
then when you click on the device it takes you to the device page that shows all of the entities associated with that device in a nice list.
the problem is that there is no indication which of those entities are provided by which integration.
And even if you navigate to the device from the integrations page you get exactly the same list of entities that are provided by all of the integrations just exactly as above.
there’s no way that I can see to filter any entity by the integration that provides it in the UI.
I suggest that either when navigating to a device from the integrations page that it only shows those associated entities by default with an option to have a “show all” option to show entities associated with that device for all integrations, or to have a filter on the device page to show only those entities associated with a given integration shown on the left panel, or at least add an attribute to the entity to indicate which integration is providing it.
