As described here Calendar - new entitites that show a list of events with a certain scope I would love to have the ability to fetch events from the calendar entity of today so that I can announce it on my smart speaker in the morning. For example announce on the speaker “today my schedule will be 07:00-08:00 workout, 09:00 go to friend, etc” (where the entity contains an array with each schedule of that day). It’s baffling we only have an event that shows when something is active and visually we have a complete list. Yet with automation it’s not accessible.
I think a helper could resolve this. With the helper you select a range. The helper will be updated after a certain time span to contain all events within the range. Ranges can be between a fixed date, today, tomorrow, next week, next month or similar but in the past (yesterday, last week, etc).
