There is no easy way to migrate all of historical data (mostly statistics) from sqlite to MariaDB.
I don’t want to loose anything so just switching DB in HA is not enough.
You can set the recorder:
Oops. See your point. Historical data.
…so don’t be sorry and vote
Done! Just voted.
Preferably selectively. So energy usage data in a database that holds way longer, as I want to be able to compare complete years of data, but I don’t need to know a lamp that was on last year.
Maybe in line with that, add an “export/download CSV” from the UI so it can be imported into anything?
I’m pretty sure there are built in functions for that in most database software; I know MariaDB has.
ANY type of easy migration would be great.
Having ability to actually choose entities - would be fantastic
I am not so greedy so: basic migration first…
CSV export seems very good addition!
Primary intention of this WTH req was to have easy (or rather automatic) migration option. Not all users will have enough skills to import data by themselves.
