The request: make it so we can set the time easily within settings, in case the Internet/NTP isn’t available.
Many of us use Home Assistant to reduce our reliance on services and connectivity, among other reasons, so WTH can’t we set the clock manually when the Internet is down? Not having the time set correctly breaks automations. Automations are a core feature of HA.
The power and Internet went out at my house due to a storm and the clock was reset on the Pi 5 (running HAOS) when it came back up on generator (Internet was still dead and was down for almost a week), which of course caused my automations to go off at the wrong time according to the wall clock. “No problem!” I thought to myself. “I’ll just go to settings and set the clock!”
Turns out this is not possible (or at least I couldn’t find a way - but even if there is one, it should be obvious and accessible from settings).
