Hi All
I’ve been using Home Assistant for four years now, and I’m incredibly grateful for the countless contributors who continuously improve the platform, making our lives easier.
During my four-year journey with Home Assistant, I’ve noticed that one area with less change or improvement is handling color temperature. While I appreciate the ability to create color profiles using the color palette and adjust brightness with a slider, it would be incredibly useful to have a feature that allows us to input a desired color code directly. Additionally, it would be helpful if, when using the color palette, the system could display the color code, enabling us to easily apply it to other lights.
For example, when I need to create a new scene, I currently have to adjust each light individually to ensure they match, which can be quite tedious. In situations where I want to use the exact same color temperature across different areas, it becomes challenging because I have to slowly tweak the palette again to get the color as close as possible to the next area. Having a feature to input or display color codes would streamline this process significantly.
I’m hoping for the option to:
- Easily create color temperature profiles.
- Apply these color temperature profiles effortlessly to individual lights, a set of lights, or directly to a scene.
Million thanks!
