It could be really useful to have a new category, a cross between a script and a helper. A script that replaces the default action of an entity. It replaces the entity, like the ‘Change device type of a switch’ helper. Instead of turning on a light, for instance, it runs a custom script which could be used to change the temperature or colour of the light based on the time of day or trigger other scripts or automations. It would differ from the current way you can do it, in that it completely replaces the action and would need specific triggers and options. If you run the light: turn on action, it would run the script with the light on trigger etc.
