For things like CPU use, or air quality (where I have 4 different providers), it would be delightful to have multiple entities with individual needles on the same gauge. I don’t really care which CPU is pegged, only that 1 of them is.
Also for outdoor air temperature sensors. I can’t be the only person with 4 of them, can I?
Can’t you use a min/max helper for that and display min and/or max instead of the 4 ? (for your case, not challenging the need for multiple entity)
For your CPU case you could display only the max of all your cores (1 gauge instead of many)
For your temperature min and max (or average) to reduce the number.
Sure, there are plenty of workarounds, but I am also interested in the spread. Is one CPU pegged at 100% and the rest are hovering around 0, or are they all pegged at 100%. Min/max/average would hide that data.
I also monitor 4 different outdoor air quality stations, and I want to know if they all are showing similar air quality, or is one just weirdly high. So what I really want is a gauge with multiple needles.
