WTH does the HA app exit when pressing back from "more info" page?

In the official android app, I’m on my dashboard, then press a card which opens the “more info” page (with a history graph). If I press “Show more” to open the “History page”, then hit back once (android back, not the arrow in the app), it takes me back to the “more info” page. If I hit back again, it exits the app instead of taking me back to the dashboard.

the more info pop-up is not part of the browsers back history so when you press back the app will exit, thats expected default behavior on android

Ooh this one drives me nuts! Here’s the note I’d saved for month of WTH:

There are several screens on the Android Companion App where swiping back from a sub-screen will exit the app in two swipes. If you don’t open that sub screen, or if you return by tapping the x or ← button, it is possible to use back swipes to retrace your steps all the way to the default dashboard.

  • When viewing an entity, if you tap the “show more” link on an entity’s history or logbook view, two swipes back exits the app. (Pressing the back arrow in the top left works correctly)
  • Similarly, in the “show settings” view for a “group” helper entity, opening “Group options” and swiping back 2x exits the app. (Pressing the ‘x’ in the top right works correctly, and the sibling “voice assistants” sub view doesn’t have this issue)
