WTH does the tag automation button create more automations without warning?

I just used this for the first time and I expect others have had this issue before me. The automation button on the tag screen creates a new automation each time without warning. I thought that button created an automation if there was not one (because this is where you also create tags, so a common use case is creating a tag and then creating an automation for it), and if there was one, it would open up the previously made automation. It didn’t even occur to me that anyone would want a single tag to have multiple automations and took me until I had made about eight iterations of the same automation to try looking at the automations screen instead of the tag screen.

Possible solutions:

  1. automations associated with a tag are visible below the tag on the tag screen
  2. clicking the automation button on the tag screen when there is already an automation shows a warning popup, i.e. “You already have an automation for this tag. Did you want to create another? YES/NO [_] Do not show again”
  3. clicking the automation button where there is already an automation opens the existing one. In this case if there are multiple automations, I dunno, so I now see why this is not the default behavior even if it was my intuitive assumption

EDIT: Apparently when hovering over the button, it says, “Create automation with tag” so I feel a bit silly now.
