WTH does the Zwave integration skip Entity IDs/doesn't reuse Entity IDs?

Having gaps between entity IDs, regardless of the reason, seems to be something that can be solved through code. In my instance, I have 49 zwave devices and the most recent entity id created is 79…

That’s a limitation of zwave. It doesn’t fill in the holes. This is beyond HA and ZwaveJSs control.

what @petro said this is controlled by the ZWave spec. When it reaches the max id (232) it rolls over back to 1 and increments to the next open ID. It’s in the spec - it wont be changed.
