I‘d like something like this
to be available in HA so that I can control HomeKit with events from within HA but still be able to simply edit the actions in the Apple Home app.
Use template/helpers and expose them to homekit.
I have allot of those to trigger automations
Well, yeah. But WTH can‘t I just make these buttons? 
It‘d be simpler and I wouldn‘t have all the dummy switches cluttering up HomeKit.

I don’t really understand what you mean though.
I used homebridge in the past, and creating a helper of type boolean (switch) of button seems to give me the exact same functionality…
