WTH is System Information buried away?

To view System Information which shows component version numbers, installation type and other useful information you currently have to go to Settings > System > Repairs > … > System Information.

It would make more sense for this to be accessible from Settings > About. There is definitely room there, and people looking for that kind of information are more likely to look there than under a … menu. Why not link it from both places?

I guess its so that if people are reporting an issue (where version information is mandatory) it forces them to look at the repairs section where they may find information that enables them to fix the problem themselves.
