Use Apple Home for example, or any made for iOS app and you will see that there is a gesture to go back, sometimes multiple ones (tapping white space or outside of a menu, pulling down, swiping back from the left side of the screen). All three of these gestures work in the Apple Home “more info” modal for a device. Why the heck do I have to reach to the top left corner of a giant device to go back in HA?
Because it’s not a native iOS app, at least not the frontend, it’s a webview displaying the home assistant web frontend, so it doesn’t inherit all navigation behavior from iOS unfortunately.
You can compare to iOS companion app settings, which is a native UI, in there you have all the gestures.
What could be done is to go back to the previous webview page with the swipe, but it wont animate as a native app and currently this gesture is reserved to the sidebar display
Having the option would be huge. I open the sidebar once every month and the back gesture I would use 10x a day. I know I’m not alone!
Voilá
This is UNBELIEVABLE you made my year!! Thank you Bruno!!!
It’s in testflight already btw, I removed a few gestures that weren’t working well, but you still have what you need
