WTH is there no Security settings in the UI (for SSL)

I don’t mean 2 factor or changing password, nor the tokens. What I mean is easily being able to set up and change SSL settings in the UI rather than having to spend time in yaml + having validation being done and auto-rollback if it doesn’t work.

Situation: some weeks ago I wanted to enable SSL and somehow I screwed up the settings making my frontend unreachable, I am using HAOS so I had to go into proxmox and use the cmd line over there to hop into HAOS and revert the changes in the configuration.yaml file, to me this wasn’t very user friendly.

It’d be great if we could have a dedicated section for this in the settings. I know it’s a business model of Nabu Casa to have easy SSL through the subscription but since Alexa, Voice, and AI the decision factors to get a NC subscription are more those than having easy SSL configured.

You would still have to do that if you made the mistake in the UI. Get your SSL settings wrong and there will be no way to reach HA other than the server CLI.

Perhaps there could be something like in Windows when changing display resolution back in the day where you had 120 sec to confirm it’s OK otherwise it would revert.
