Wth is there not a columnar layout for desktop

I design most of my dashboards with my app in mind. So, vertical, one column of reportlets. On web, the ordering of those reportlets is nonsense.

Why the heck isn’t the default, or at least one of the options to have a dynamic (or set) number of columns?

Small window? One scrolling column. Slightly bigger window? One centered column if there’s not enough for overflow, two or three if there is.

This would save us all time having to abuse Horizontal and Vertical stacks to build even the most basic web dashboards.

This is exactly how masonry views in HA work. The problem is that you’re using the UI to move things around and the UI doesn’t make it clear what the order will be. If you view the yaml, you’d know where it’s going to fall when the page reloads.
