I use a reverse proxy to get to HASS, that is not the problem, the main problem is HASS not being able to talk to other local network services through the proxy, without having the self signed CA installed.
This is a major problem for such a simple thing. HASS is supposed to be this ultimate open source home automation software, yet we’re forced to use Let’s Encrypt certificates to get it to talk to other local services.
