Maybe there aren’t too many of us modbus users but i was wondering why modbus RTU and TCP hasn’t been added to the list of integrations in the front end yet.
Im hoping this would be fairly simple given its a old and well established protocol.
Discovering devices on modbus once the comms is setup is super easy too…

The general answer to these questions is "because no one wrote it yet, we’re getting there.
The crueller answer is “because you haven’t written it yet, where us your PR”

I struggle enough with YAML let alone writing an integration…
not sure nick said it was coming or on a roadmap
it normally requires a developer with access to the thing being integrated to want to move it to using the UI, unless there is one it will have to wait until there is
@nickrout we are not all as smart as you are :-). Most of us are users of this marvelous software and not developers…
I am not a developer either! Which is why I put a smiley after my post. Only the first part had any seriousness - and I’ll repeat it “because no one wrote it yet.”
