The title might be rough, but it would be nice to have a compiled menu for automations that let you group automations, scripts, and helpers all in one spot for a given function. For example, i have an automation that counts down the days until my bathroom heater filter is due to be cleaned. It has a 30 day counter helper, an automation to decrement it, an automation to send a notification to my phone when it hits zero and create a persistent notification, and a script to reset the counter and clear the persistent notification when a conditional tile insections view is clicked. They are scattered across several menus. It would be nice to have a grouped menu where all of these items could be seen and edited in an almost sections like view next to each other, labeled by function.
Maybe it could be called the functions view. And you could create a new function, which would create a new functions box, similar to a sections group, which would let you make helpers, scripts and automations all from one menu and keep them all clustered together by “function”.
Thanks! I just really hate having to bounce back and forth between the menus to go find whatever the relevant helper or script may be. Or even just to make them when im trying to set up something new. It would be nice to have them all in one box on one page.
I’m stuck in YAML, mostly because there I get to put everything related together - solving the issue you present…
With packages-folder, i collect all type of yaml together in one file for each of my solutions; templates, customize, inputs, thermostats, utility meters, automations etc. It’s really helpful - and for me totally nessesary.
So I agree it would be brilliant with a “functions view” in GUI where all devices/entities/helpers/automations/scenes etc are listed.
The functionality exists for Area, assign helper and automation to an Area and it shows in area,
Would it not work if the Area-functionality was duplicated for Labels ??
As of now in labels you can jump to list of entities, or devices with that label, but you dont get the full overview as I get in my yaml-file and the likes of the Area-dashboard,
