I have switched my solar panel monitor sensor, so I added it to the energy dashboard and removed the old one, Pop all historical solar generation data gone. Luckily adding the old sensor back did return the historical data, but now I have 2 solar sources where one is 0 and the other the correct value. It would be great if there was a way to migrate/update this information
There is a way to do this by renaming your new entity id with the name of the old one.
You first need to delete the old entity.

But I agree there should be a way to easily change an entity by another and keep all historical data
