WTH must I pause after saying the wake word?

With other voice assistants, I can say “Alexa turn off the light” as a single, quick, natural sentence.

Not so with home assistant! I have to say “OK Nabu”, then wait for confirmation that it worked, and then “turn off the light”. If you don’t do it this way, then you have to repeat the command once HA is actually listening again. WTH?

The commercial voice assistants were also like this in the early days. Hopefully HA Voice catches up soon.

Normally you would buffer the speak and then send the buffer when your wake word is detected.
The issue might be that buffering requires RAM and many of the devices we use as satellites do not have thatich of it.
