When I attempt to do a Node-Red automation, many times I cannot figure out the correct format for entering a data value in a node (like the “call service” node). Do I need to type the name of the data, then a colon, then the numeric value (like {“rgb_color”:[255,0,0]})? Do I put the numeric value in quotes, or do I put the data type in quotes? If I just had an example provided of what format I should use, it would be much easier.
WTH month on here is about Home Assistant, Node RED is separate software. Questions about it should be in #third-party:node-red or Node RED’s forum. Also FR’s for the HA nodes people typically use in Node RED should go here
