Automations in HA are great - but they’re largely designed for recurring actions or triggers.
A one-shot action would be great for quite a few situations, e.g.:
- You go out to dinner and know you’ll be home at 9PM - Set an action at 8:30PM so you return to a warm house
- Set a reminder in 1 hour / 7PM to check the oven
Similar to Google Assistant/Cortana “Remind me at 7PM to xyz”.
You can achieve this with an automation whose first action is to disable the automation … but the WAF for this isn’t very high…
