I may not have the metaphor right but I feel like there is room for a higher level automation concept to “verify” state.
Let’s say I have a relay that pushes the garage door. The door isn’t smart so I don’t know if it’s open or not. But I can put a sensor to detect the light. So if the sensor sees light the door is open and vice versa.
I’m sure peoe.on this forum have written this pattern over and over. What if there were a way to just pick the switch and pick the sensor and have the state be controlled and reported in o e go?
I would love that.
