WTH, the climate card doesn't track if the preset is no longer applied?

The climate card has preset modes that, as far as I understand, are dictated by the thermostat (see this GitHub issue about climate presets). If I add the “preset modes” feature to my climate card, I get a toggle button group that lets me pick one of the presets, which adjusts the target temperature. See the image below for an example:

In that image, I have two presets, home (21) and night (18). I enabled the “night” preset some time ago, but since then, the temperature has been adjusted, either by dragging the temperature slider on the card, by automations, or just by manually operating the thermostat. The “night” preset is still shown as selected, even though the target temperature no longer matches it. The particularly annoying side effect of that is that I now cannot use the preset feature to activate “night” again — I have to first activate “home” and then “night”. The salt on the wound here is that it takes the thermostat a couple of seconds to react to the preset, so it also takes a while to do that. What the heck :smiley:
