WTH - Tooltip when hovering over a helper?

I often find myself wishing HA would tell me what a given helper actually does when hovering over the name in the Create Helper Menu. This is particularly true with Sensors. It would be great if a tooltip would appear at the cursor with a brief explanation for the given helper.

Those popups are called “tooltips”, and I think this could be very useful for new users.

Instead of a tooltip maybe just add a secondary line with a short description. Something like this

GENERIC THERMOSTAT
Create a climate entity that controls the temperature via a switch and sensor.

GROUP
Group multiple entities of the same type

Also because the amount of helpers is growing maybe the presentation of this list should be looked at in general. Maybe there are better ways to present these options.

I think generally we avoid too many tooltips because they don’t work for Mobile clients.

Subtitles can be a good substitute for tooltips.
