How can I use my second harddrive in my NUC, running HassOS?
I would love to have especially DBs moved to the harddrive.
been banging this drum for a while.
Yep, I tried to get this working both with HAOS and Ubuntu / Supervised. Could not get HA to recognise an additional drive. I wanted to use a USB drive for CCTV recordings via the MotionEye add-on…no go, ended up buying a dedicated NVR.
Should be simple with Ubuntu and Hass Supervised, just symlink your second drive to somewhere hass can reach? Or run Proxmox, Hass in one VM/CT and MotionEye in a other. No reason for dedicated nvr, its not hard and Im not sure its even in hass jurisdiction to care about this.
Well I asked on here for help and no amount of testing got the drive recognised in HA Supervised so I gave up. I wasn’t going to start a fresh with VM / Proxmox etc.
I would love to be able to mount a USB HD on my Pi4 using HassOS.
I have done this with HA Supervised on Debian
Well, I mean I too have HA Supervised inside a VM on Debian and did connect extra drives to it without any problems, virtual or not. It is a problem with HassOS, but Ha Supervised on Debian or Ubuntu should be able to do it no problem.
