WTH Why don't we have timers for lights and switch?

WTH: Why can’t we set a simple timer for lights and switches directly from the interface without creating automations?

Sometimes you have those moments that you just want to turn on a specific light or switch for just a couple of minutes or hours of a day. Quite often you will forget to do this. And these ‘simple’ tasks don’t need special automations but really make your life easier.

If you could enter a date when to toggle the entity it would make it great.

I fully agree on the need, there were something mentioned also on 2022: WTH - Easy Timers for switches and so on.

Little bump for this WTH as this still requires automation or installing an integration via HACS (or manual) and that sill requires its own card and config.

Just a simple timer icon you can enable in the card.
