WTH: Why is „away“ translated to [German] „Außerhalb“ since 2024.12

Pleeease bring back „abwesend“ as translation for „away“. „Außerhalb“ is more like „outside of smth…“.

Isn’t this starting a “translation war”? Obviously someone thought that “außerhalb” is the right word.

Ok, I cannot think of any context where I would translate “away” as “außerhalb” right now.

It’s not even about context - “außerhalb” just isn’t a proper translation for “away”. It means “outside of”, as written above. Whoever changed this is definitely not a native German speaker.
