The dev tools have seen several changes to improve usability. However, the (developer-tools/state
, called StateS) states page still is terribly slow to load. So slow it was moved from being the landing page of the dev tools
Please give it some love. Users with many entities will be for ever in your debt.
It’s the slowest page throughout HA.
I always hate when I have business with it not to mention when I click it by mistake and the webpage freezes for a few seconds before I can escape it.

Currently state page is almost useless since it’s so slow. Just had to update input_number decimal value and it took 15min ! Needs total recreation.

On my side, BLE Tracker added 40.000 Devices, it looks like, this is slow down the system. I deleted them from known_devices.yaml, after a restart it looks better. But i have to test it.

integration: bluetooth_le_tracker
stale
### The problem
I enabled the bluetooth_le_tracker a few months ago. Now HA is … VERY slow - takes a long time to start with things timing out, developer tools states takes forever to load and then use.
Turns out over time this has added 57412 new devices into known_devices.yaml!
I imagine this is bluetooth devices using MAC address randomisation, so existing devices look like new devices.
This makes this integration pretty useless, and there should at least be a warning about this in the docs.

Could you do me a favor and check the integrations dashboard and next entities and helpers?
The entities lage won’t behave in my config and, running the 2024.8 beta the same is happening to the helpers view
Seems there is a constant reevaluations of the list by the Frontend upon state changes.
I have 2 open issues on the matter, and if you also see this, please chime in?

### Describe the issue you are experiencing
where I had already[ filed an issue before on /config/entities not loading most of the time](https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/issues/21001), after updating to 2024.8.0b0 also the helpers page is now struggling to display all correctly. ( helpers count 815)

notice the lack of icons on the right. And this is no longer loading, it has finished and been like this for some minutes now.
At first I figured this could have been cause by the [new feature to sort devices & entities](https://rc.home-assistant.io/blog/2024/07/31/release-20248/#sort-data-tables-by-created-or-last-modified) based on the date they have been added or modified and showing those columns.
But then I realized that is not used on the Helpers page...
_____
### Describe the behavior you expected
A complete and fluent loading of the helpers (and entities) pages. Name, icon and all that belongs to this display.
I wouldnt not mind a small gap (have a large number of entities after all), but currently these pages are completely disfunctional to me.

### Describe the issue you are experiencing
no entities are displayed, and the filter box really lags, in any Desktop browser, iOS app shows fine.
navigating away after trying to load the entities is also suffering the lag, and I need to reload the browser view, to be able to browse the instance again on other views
### Describe the behavior you expected
show all entities when nothing is filtered, and show filtered entities when a filter is actually entered

Seems to be mainly an issue on entities, not on devices or helpers. Although on those 2, the lag is also very noticeable compared to 2024.5

One way to make the effect of the slowness less apartment would be to allow users to disable the “beautifying” of states.
If states and attributes was preserved as they should when you open the more info then you would not need the states page as much.
