WTH, why is there not user entitlement management?

Hi,
I love home assistant. However, I want sometimes restrict access to Home Assistant for some people.
E.g. our Nanny shall only have access to management the temperature of the heating. And some lights but nothing else.
Our kids shall have the rights to manage the lights in their room, but not somewhere else.

Today I can’t add users with different rights. They get all or nothing. Please add some entitlement management for users.

Note: this was also raised in the 2020 WTH.

This is on the Roadmap, apparently for 2025.

Perhaps I’m not on the same page with you, but I do this now. I got into smart home stuff because I have a son with special needs. Motion sensors, open/close sensors, alarms, etc.

Now that he’s 18, he loves playing with the lights, but I can’t have him disabling alarms and such. So on the Home dashboard, I have multiple tabs across the top. When I edit (or create) each tab, there is an option at the top for Visibility. For his tab, he’s the only one with access. For the “normal” tab, everyone except him has access.

I’ve also just started testing the drag and drop dashboards and each Section and Tile has visibility options as well.

Hope this helps!

I do it the same way for my kids. Just hiding things. But i’s not true Access Management. I have to do it in various places.
It wpzöd ve nice on entity or device level.
