WTH -- Why isn't the whole UI built with Dashboard Cards?

TL;DR – Since sections are designed to build great UIs, why isn’t it a goal to make sections so good that they could be used to remake the Home Assistant UI itself?

This dogfooding could help to ensure more capabilities are added to the cards until dashboard cards become sufficient to build out complex UIs.

For example, this settings page could be remade using a vertical stack and buttons that redirect to another page:

And this devices page could be a section that is set to be 5 wide with each section having a button card, a markdown card with a divider line, and another button card:

To clarify, I know that this is not the case because sections are so new and that the dashboard are currently entirely separate from the main UI. I am asking why this is not the end goal. Obviously, there would need to be extra information available to the UI that dashboards cannot access, so it may require some thinking through. However, this would ensure that the dashboard cards are good enough to make state-of-the-art UIs.
