Wyoming Satellites won't reconnect with Home Assistant

Hi from Germany
In Feb. 2024 I configured 3 wyoming satellites using RPI3 and ReSpeaker 2-Mic Pi Hat.
They were connected to HA with Wyoming Protocol (Piper, Whisper, Openwakeword).
Music Assiastant Beta is configured too and they are all media players (snapcast).
One is still working in the kitchen as a Music Assistant player, the other 2 are configured, connected and used for testing only in February.
Voice recognition wasn’t as good as needed to be usefull.

Now I wanted to test them again and I’m not able to get them connected to HA with Wyoming Protocol. I deletet the services in HA and tried to reconnect, but won’t work.
HA doesn’t find them automatically and if I want to add a Wyoming host manually there comes the message: Connection failed.

They are still connected to Music Assistant as players and could be used.

The wyoming-satellite.service on the RPIs is running, the other services on the RPIs too.

Has somebody any idea, how to get them reconnected as Voice assistant clients in HA?

Im Having the exact same issue, you ever find a solution?

Yep, same here. All services are running just fine on the satellite, but neither gets recognised by HA. I’ve erased both Pis and reinstalled Wyoming several times, but still no luck. They used to work just fine.

I’m having exactly this issue.
Previously (beginning days of voice) used an ATOM Echo succesfully. Removed the device and removed whisper, openwakeword and piper. Re-installed everything after building my own ESP32 voice assistant. Now unable to find them.
Any suggestions would be helpfull!
Running HA on an ODroid

  • Core 2025.4.4
  • Supervisor 2025.05.1
  • Operating System 15.2

piper, oww and whisper installed and running via add-ons.

and i get the suggestion that new devices are found, but when looking at the device section nothing shows. Also in the logs piper and whisper show: “Successfully send discovery information to Home Assistant.”

For those who landed on this page with the same issue. The following fixed it for me:

as host for respectively piper, whisper, oww: select the host that is mentioned in the addon (see for piper in my addon where i found it, it might be different for you):

core-piper
core-whisper
core-openwakeword

as port use
piper: 10200
whisper: 10300
oww: 10400
