Xiaomi Integration - Which one

I have been using the Xiaomi 3rd party integration for a while now, and it works as i would have expected.

Which version should i be using? there has been talk about some developers no longer around.

The Xiaomi component will be part of the next release of HA (0.50). So there will be no need to use a custom component anymore.
