Xiaomi light unavailable very often and back online by itself

Dear community,

My xiaomi light bulb is going unavailable very often then back online. See screenshot.

What is surprising is that the wifi coverage is good enough: it indicates 45% of wifi signal strength in Mi Home app.

Any idea on how to solve this?

Thanks !

45% isn’t great. Especially if there are other nearby routers overlapping the same channel…then it would be pretty bad.

Use a WIFI analyzer near the light and see if you notice any interfering APs in the area on the channel you’re using. There are apps for iphone and android to do this.

Hi @jocnnor,

Thanks for your answer.

Here is the analysis:

So I went in the router interface and I changed the channel to 13. I couldn’t select 14, I don’t know why.

Here is now the result of it, in the Mi Home app:

So I gain a bit but it seems not to be enough yet as the phenomenon is still happening. The logbook is filled with messages about the light becoming unavailable then off.

Anyone having a clue on this topic please?

Dear all,
It seems that I am not the only one with the problem. On Mi Community, dozens of users say they face big packet loss rate since not long ago. Maybe a problem on Chinese connexion or maybe it’s an update…
Right now, the light bulb is one meter away from my router whish is fiber optic connected. I still have 33.3% packet loss rate on the Mi app.
