do you mean with that custom apk file? or with the official xiaomi app ?
official xiaomi app can’t log miio commands. this is mod feature.
strange, never had to enable logging, maybe we are talking about a different apk versio
i used : mihome 5.9.19
you had to create /vevs/logs/ folder to enable logs. this is how it was done in past and now with current version of mod you can enable logs from app.
ahh, there is a newer version
ok, where can i find it?
edit: nevermind
Do you mind posting where did you find it (or at least hint toward the direction, if direct links to such are not allowed on this forum)? That could be useful information for others, too
Sure , it’s also in this thread

Hi Guys,
Please I have an issue with my Dreame Vacuum D9 (dreame.vacuum.p2009) which is dead!! (No interaction, no light, no reaction, …) before that I have switched my Mi Home account from Singapore to French ( because I wanted to link it with my Alexa )
It was fully charged and it have requested me to update the firmeware but after that I disovered that the robot is dead and I tried to reset it but no reaction. from that moment I can’t do anything as it is fully Off and no signe of reactvitiy, is like the systeme has been erased or its Soft have been broken due to the firmeware update.
Can you please help me to resolve this issue?
For information, I installed the token extractor and I can see the Vaccum linked in my account Singapore and I can see also its token.
Many thanks for your help and support
I obtained the token through [Token](https://github.com/Maxmudjon/com.xiaomi-miio/blob/b30ff85e344bd82a503c4bad1073ea96587f0a22/docs/obtain_token.md 28), but the same with the token that I get "Error: Unable to discover the device 10.20. 30.86 ", do you have any method to get the new token that works with the latest firmware version?), but the same with the token that I get "Error: Unable to discover the device 10.20. 30.86 ", do you have any method to get the new token that works with the latest firmware version?

I’ve found this usfell site for rooting the device and falshing rom for DustBuilder

Any idea for bringing the vacuum back to life will be appriciated.

Hi @concentric , I was rebuilding my HA instance and noticed your github repo status as recommending valetudo. Would you mind if I asked why you prefer valetudo and also what method you used to root your vacuum? Your integration has been working great with mine and I’m hesitant to change what isn’t broken. Ta kindly.
Hey @snowbot.
I switched to valetudo because it is completely local and does not send any data to the cloud.
My integration would interact with the vacuum locally, but would still require setting up with the MI home app as well as an internet connection (otherwise it keeps dropping off the network.)
Having my vacuum on my IOT only no internet vlan is what I preferred.
I used this method to root my vacuum.
Im sure I dont need to say it but use at your own risk.
Thanks. I’ll file it under “things to do when i have time”
