Is it possible to pair a MCCGQ01LM Xiaomi MiJia door sensor, to a TRÅDFRI Gateway?
They are both zigbee and I’m trying to avoid purchasing a Xiaomi gateway.
I’ve had no luck finding instructions.
Anyone did this?
Pretty sure its not possible.
The vendor specific gateways (Xiaomi, Philips Hue, Ikea Trafdri etc) only support their own sensor devices + Zigbee light link compatible bulbs.
You would need to consider an open and cross-vendor hub.
On these forums there are four main options:
- ZHA support in HA with relevant USB zigbee device
- Zigbee2mqtt with a cheap USB zigbee dongle
- ZiGate with zigate zigbee hub
- Deconz with dresden conbee/raspbee device
