Xiaomi Mijia Smart Light Sensor with zigbee2mqtt?

I can’t find anything about the following Light sensor. Does anyone got this one working with zigbee2mqtt?

The lux sensor in the xiaomi motion sensors are not really reliable at low lights, so im looking for a off the shelf sensor.

I use ESPHome with a WemosD1 and BH1750 sensor.
Works great, high resolution, good accuracy.

Saw that solution before, but I want a off the shelf product with a nice case without having to be creative

Maybe for the future when I need motion sensors on other Floors.

Hi!
I have that sensor and tried it with conbee 2. The Phoscon GW app does not recognize it, but the old Deconz zigbee network application see it. The “last seen” and some data changes when light-level changes.
It is an already opened ticket on Dresden elektronik´s Git repository here:

I’m using zigbee2mqtt, and after I posted the question, I saw that zigbee2mqtt does support those now.

Nice Thank you Bollux!
I also have a CC2531 and a programmer on the way from China, that could be flashed with zigbee2mqtt firmware or used as a sniffer/packet analyzer.

i am gonna try the addon in HA, since i think it could be useful for more devices.

Now that light sensor is working with conbee ll / Deconz after upgrade to Deconz 5.3  Does not show up in Phoscon app, but in the old app where you see the mesh, and as lumi.sen_ill.mgl01 (sensor.lightlevel_xx) in HA.

Since it is supported by zigbee2mqtt, it can be used as a mqtt sensor in HA right? I am in the process of ordering one for my cover automations.

So just to confirm I have just fired up one of these devices and using zigbee2mqtt with my Texas Instruments Z-Stack ZNP CC2531 as co-ordinator it does indeed work.

Just pressed the pair button on the sensor and off we went. Didnt need to use any apps to get it joined to zigbee2mqtt.

Note that for cheap shipping they remove the battery so you will need to get a CR2450 battery locally.

It exposes

  • Battery (%)
  • Illuminance (Raw)
  • Illuminance_lux (Lux)
  • Linkquality (Strength in lqi) !

Hope this helps someone in their decision making.
