I have added it as a Xiaomi Home Integration and it has been very stable, no issues at all.

I never thought I would see Xiaomi making an official integration for their products in HA. Let’s see how that progresses.
So far it seems local control is somewhat limited (they say you either need the hub, which is only sold in China, or there is local control for WiFi/ethernet devices only, but it might not work correctly and they do not recommend using it).
I also wonder how dedicated they will be to keeping it supported, fixing bugs and implementing features.
I’m also quite surprised, but it seems they actually do want to build it as open source with community creating PRs with bugfixes and new features.
