Xiaomi Roborock S5 Max stopped working with Home Assistant

Hello everyone,

I have my xiaomi vaccum integrated with Home Assistant since March 2021 and it was working just fine. But suddenly, with no explanation, it just stopped working. The vacuum is still connected to the internet, the token hasn’t changed, I can ping the vacuum IP address and I can even see the vacuum move in the vacuum map card. The problem is that he doesn’t respond to any command that I send to it:

I checked the logs and I see the following warning:
log error

So it says that the entity vacuum.xiaomi_vacuum_cleaner cannot be found. But when I check my entities I find my entity as expected:

All my scripts are obviously based on the entity name, so it seems to me that the warning I’m getting on the logs is the root cause of my problem.

Has anyone had this type of issue?

I’m running Home Assistant on version core-2021.8.4

Thanks in advance for your replies

I have exactly the same problem. Home assistant can see the status of the vacuum eg docked or cleaning but can no longer issue commands to start cleaning.

It broke some time in the past week for me. Have you had any luck fixing this?

Not yet… I have no clue on how to proceed to fix it. I already tried everything I can possibly think of. Hope anyone here had the same problem in the past and can help us out.

I spent some time investigating - when I originally added my s5max to home assistant I did so using YAML. Apparently this has been depreciated.

Deleting the YAML and adding the integration through the front end has fixed my problem.

Hope this helps.

Perfect! It works just fine removing the yaml configuration. Thanks!

Same here, was not working since a while, by removing the yaml it worked.
Thanks

which integration have you used from the front end?
