Xiaomi Sherlock Smartlock

First I think they (the lock sw developers) broke/changed the server and the client have to be upgraded…
but here (discussion in russian) I see a man who have 3.6.12 client working (can login) on one phone and not working on another…

So, Aerolite is finally dead.
Timeout error in Sherlock app because of site aerolite.net (with databases of login/pass) is down. So it’s unable to connect to your account.
Now it’s challenge to remove cloud from the app and repack apk-file of Sherlock. If it will be possible, it’s will be great.

P. S. Offline keys(buttons) seems can be innactive due to lock can “forget” it if Sherlock app is not connected to Lock more than a month.

Hello. Is there any news regarding the Sherlock app? I have written to the seller about the version problem. 3.6.12, (Network error), on my S2, but they haven’t answered me yet.

Do you know if there is any update to the app?

Thanks.

hola, hasta la fecha, no hay noticias de la actualización, yo mismo le escribí al vendedor pero no recibí respuesta a pesar de mis numerosos recordatorios, se vuelve doloroso abandonar a los usuarios del sherlock S2

What I don’t understand is that they continue to sell this model on AliExpress. Well, what a disappointment they are going to take whoever buys it. Without the app, it is useless. I have at least 3 remotes programmed.

ya se que es escandaloso prueba que comprando chino el servicio post venta a domicilio es cero de cero y despues aliexpress le importa un carajo

I am writing to several sellers about the Sherlock S2 and one has told me to ask the manufacturer. So I’ve told them that if they sell a product and it can’t be installed because the app doesn’t work, they’re going to have problems with people who buy the S2 from them. I recommend everyone to write to these sellers, even the main distributor for a solution. I’m waiting for the dealer to tell me something and if not, I’ll keep insisting.

Yes I wrote some sellers as well. But guess - they did not replay. Just smelling money there in china… This is not real, wonderful working lock just not servicing the app anymore. What idiocy. Okay, I will text to some sellers again to let pressure out.
Next time I want to buy the new Look from tedee (Poland) but from know it is to expensive for me.

Did someone Know some Bluetooth programmable module so we can use this instead of ESP-01 and we have a low power consumption and we can use the Battery of the sherlock?

Hi, thanks a alot for sharing knowledge, I am new here, my question; is there any oportunity to get this lock working?, I mean, I bougth 2 years ago, I tried app and it worked, but now when I need to use is not working. My phone is already on Android 12 and trying the apks in the thread and nothing happens. I will try to get another phone and see what happen.

The problem is not with your phone. The company that sold the lock has stopped supporting the app. Once you exit the app, you will no longer be able to enter it. Luckily the controls still work, but you will not be able to program new ones.

I have found this board: FireBeetle Board-328P Link Wiki Here

This board use only bluetooth 4.1 and use only 70uA when in operation mode and 25uA when in low power mode (Bluetooth still on)

So we can use this board in the Sherlock Smart Lock and use this like a bluetooth receiver then we can use an ESP32 that can connect to this board via bluetooth ad used like a bridge (Like Netatmo Thermostat) so we don’t need to add another battery or put some wire near the lock.

Unfortunately i don’t understand if we can use the same code of arduino or something else… i’m not so expert but i hope someone could give me more info

P.S. we can also use the blynk app so we can connect directly to the module if we have some problem with wifi etc.

Bye
Stefano

So it is not possible to use the s2 anymore? No solution?

Hi,
Same issue here… Been struggling with this commercial scandal since months now…
From all my family members, I’m the only one still having a connection on my previous phone.
All the phones and remotes are unpaired from the lock as of now.
I was trying a solution, but didn’t succeed, because of lack of knowledge for sure
I’m thinking that, if the last phone is still connected and working with the lock, is there a way of copying the android app with it’s installed data, to another phone ?
I tried some app transfer software available on the net, but no one copied the data with the app…
Any hint about this ?

The app no longer works for me. But the 3 controls that I have do work well for me.

I found a turnaround, while expecting a clean solution from a talented developer :innocent:

I installed TeamViewer Host on my old phone that’s still paired with the lock, and set it to stay on, with the charger connected all the time.
I then take remotely control, via TeamViewer from all other devices, of that old phone, and use the Sherlock widget on home screen to lock/unblock.
Even if it’s not a very secure solution, it has the advantage of allowing lock operation from abroad :sunglasses:

But I still think that if this lock’s designer has one ounce of honesty, he would’ve gently allowed a “leak” of client/server apps source code, allowing thousands of frustrated customers, who once bought his product and allowed him to live, to continue using this lock… But maybe I’m too optimistic… :unamused:
