Xiaomi Temperature and Humidity Monitor Clock Bind Key?

Hi,

I have one of these Xiaomi Temperature and Humidity Monitor Clock - Xiaomi Global (LYWSD02MMC) but am unable to generate the bluetooth bind key that Home Assistant requires. Has anyone figured out a way of extracting the key for this device?

I’ve tried Telink Flasher but it fails:

have you found a solution yet? i have exactly the same problem, even with esp home i don’t get any data displayed!

With the Tellink flasher, you need to click “Do Activation”.
That should show the bind key. After that you can flash with the custom firmware.

NB atc1441 Telink Flasher is for a slightly different model, LYWSD03MMC. It’s a square thermometer with an LCD screen and without a clock.

LYWSD02MMC is listed as supported by Xiaomi Mijia BLE Sensors ESPHome component. ESPHome could be an extra moving part though. And configuration sample has no reference to the bind key.

I am well behind the schedule to try this integration.

EDIT: Correct, universal atc1441 Telink Flasher is able to obtain LYWSD02MMC bind key!

Reference: RTFM - no need in ESPHome I guess.

hello, i was able to find the bindkey via the version of the telink flasher! thank you very much! but now i have the problem that the thermostat is no longer found! xiaomi ble shows no new devices found, bthome shows the device in the know-devices.yaml. but i can only track it, do you have any tips on how to get it into home assistant? i still have a non mmc version, this worked without any problems!

after searching for ages i just discovered by chance that i had the Xiaomi Temperature and Humidity Monitor Clock on ignored devices, now everything works…thank you!

Could you share what worked for you?

It shows up under Xiaomi BLE integration for me but the only entity in HA is Signal Strength

I just put in the bind key to HA after extracting it with Mi Activation

I have the bind key but can’t figure out where to enter it in HA.

The device was already discovered by the Xiaomi BLE integration and is listed in HA but with only the Signal Strength entity.

It will eventually ask for the key, I think. Only that it my case, HA keeps saying invalid key. Investigating…
EDIT: it seems that there were two Chrome tabs with the activation codes. The first one was the correct key.
