Hello all
I decided to open one of my Xiaomi YLDP06YL and see what it has inside. I was hoping to be able to flash it with Tasmota. It happens that the bulb does not have an ESP8266, instead it uses a Marvell 88MW300 Arm microcontroller. So, no deal.
As it can be seen by the pictures the bulb has 3 sets of individual red, blue and green leds and 12 other leds that I suppose are white (haven’t turned it on while open yet). I’m not sure how it controls color temperature, but probably the 12 leds are cold white and the color leds are responsible for applying the warm. When integrated to Home Assistant the controls show separate brightness and color temperature sliders.
EDIT: The white leds are in the middle of the color temperature scale. For cooler white blue and green leds are also activated. For warmer white red and green are used up to the point where the white leds are turned off and only red/green stay on.
The goal here is to make information available in case it can be useful to anyone.
Regards,
Tales
