Yale Linus L2 „Open door“

Hi,
did anyone manage to „open the door“ (with the new Yale Linus L2 Smartlock) in HomeAssistant?

I can unlock and lock the door. But not „open“.

I have the EU Version (Germany) Yale Linus L2. Released last week. And integrated it in HomeAssistant with the „August“ Integration.

I want to create a iOS Widget with HomeAssistant to open the door.

Have the same issue. Can lock and unlock the door, but can’t open it through Home Assistant. App works perfectly fine, it’s just Home Assistant doesn’t know the “open” state for the lock… yet?

Hopeful there will be an update.

Hi there! Sorry, I do not have answer but rather question

Did the integration into HA via August integration require any hardware bridge with the Linus L2?

I am considering it myself but haven’t found any source of this information on the internet.

Thanks

Just a quick questian since I am about to buyca Linus L2. Do you need the gateway since it has wifi from the start?

Whats the difference between “unlock” and “open” the door?

Hello,
I would like to buy this product and I was wondering if you have solved the problem with “open”.

Thanks

Hi, any news about this? Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve noticed that there is a PR opened here: Add august open action by m10x · Pull Request #113795 · home-assistant/core · GitHub

unfortunately I don’t have the device yet so I can’t try it. If there’s any one that can it would be awesome.

As for today opening the door/lock with HomeAssistant is not possible, but the linked PR is heading in the right direction.

As for the other question with the german Linus L2 Variant it is indeed possible to connect to wlan with the wlan from the smartlock, you dont need an extra bridge.
