Yale Smart Lock to replace UK nightlatch

I’m looking to buy this lock to replace the existing nightlatch on a house I’m moving to shortly

If I get it with the included zWave module will it just get detected by HA or do I need an additional hub/gateway before that happens? I don’t have a Smartthings hub although I do have the Smartthings app on my phone and it has detected various devices including a Samsung TV, my Ring cameras and a couple of Tapo smart switches which it can control fine without me owning a Smartthings hub (mind you, this all worked before HA too).

I have an instance of HA running on an RPI 4 and the only hub I have which I think is zWave is the hub that came with my Ring Alarm system and HA sees all the Ring devices fine (contact/motion sensors etc).

Hi. Did you manage to get this working. I’m hoping to do the same thing. Although I believe the lock’s z-wave module needs to be added direct to the Ring hub to get full control. Keen to know if you got it going…

FYI I have exactly the same lock.

Also Keen on any advice on this. Mine is probably 5 years old and working on smartthings. Obviously retiring last of my ST so want to add to HA just keen to know if it’ll work.

I am looking at getting one of these locks. Does anyone know if they work with the existing HA integration? The model is not listed on the page.

Yes, this works perfectly with HA. I am using it today.

Hi Simon, I’m looking at getting this lock and a Z-wave module - Could I ask what integration you used in HA for it? Any other tips? I don’t own any Z-wave devices so will need to purchase a stick - which one do\did you use?
